Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Discovery Attorney for its E-Discovery Services & Strategy practice group in Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy attorney who can advise on strategic discovery practices, manage document review teams, and handle special projects.

Duties

  • Counsel case teams and clients on E-Discovery methodologies and workflows.
  • Consult on database design for efficient document review.
  • Manage and mentor Discovery and Review Attorneys.
  • Collaborate with ESS attorneys and technologists.
  • Assist with drafting case training materials.
  • Perform quality control of document coding and prepare privilege logs.
  • Identify materials for depositions and trials.
  • Draft deposition outlines and transcript summaries.
  • Assist with case chronology and fact development.
  • Conduct legal and document research using advanced search capabilities.
  • Prepare internal and external trainings and presentations.
  • Stay current on legal developments in E-Discovery and related fields.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related work experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Familiarity with litigation processes, including discovery and trial.
  • Strong knowledge of E-Discovery technology and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Excel.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Active member of the state bar association where the office is located.

Certifications

  • Relevant E-Discovery certifications are a plus.

Skills

  • Experience in complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, or regulatory investigations preferred.
  • Experience with cross-border discovery and data privacy regulations.
  • Previous document review experience preferred.
  • Foreign language skills and advanced technical proficiencies are a plus.
