Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Salt Lake City, UT. The candidate will counsel various financial entities on federal and state financial laws and regulations.

Duties

• Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on financial regulations.
• Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
• Interpret regulations and draft contracts and lending documents.
• Advise clients on compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to client service and effective teamwork.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located.

Skills

• Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
• Ability to draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents.
• Strong academic credentials.
