Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Consumer Finance Associate for their New York City office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries, both domestically and internationally.

Duties

• Advise clients on financial services regulatory and compliance matters.
• Handle issues related to mortgage lending, consumer finance, and commercial finance.
• Provide guidance on alternative lending products and FinTech structures.
• Assist with state licensing and compliance with financial services laws.
• Engage in legal research, analysis, and writing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial services regulatory and compliance.
• Knowledge of TILA, RESPA, UDAAP/UDAP, HMDA, FCRA, and FDCPA.
• Experience with enforcement, money services businesses, and payment systems is a plus.
• Strong academic background and attention to detail.
• Admitted to or eligible for admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
