Technology and IP Transactions Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Technology and IP Transactions Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to work on a wide range of transactions for public and private companies across various industries. The ideal candidate will have outstanding credentials and qualifications.

Duties:

• Work on domestic and international transactions for clients in industries such as software, pharma and life sciences, consumer products, and media and entertainment.
• Handle mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate technology-related agreements, including software and systems agreements, outsourcing contracts, R&D agreements, collaboration agreements, and licenses for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and data/databases.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients on intellectual property matters.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on transactional matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support client objectives.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience with technology and IP-intensive transactions or other relevant experience.
• Outstanding credentials and qualifications.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
