A law firm seeks an experienced civil litigation attorney to join its plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Tampa, FL. Duties

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and civil litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with experts, medical providers, and investigators.
• Work with partners and staff to efficiently move cases forward.

Requirements

• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 3-7+ years of civil litigation experience (personal injury experience preferred).
• Experience taking depositions and handling hearings.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Trial experience is a plus, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
