Duties

• Manage a docket of pre-litigation personal injury cases.
• Investigate coverage and develop liability and damage models.
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
• Negotiate and settle personal injury claims.
• Analyze medical records and bills for case development.
• Supervise legal support staff and provide case direction.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis of settlement versus litigation.
• Keep clients informed about case status.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience; law school graduates welcome.
• Texas bar license or eligibility to waive in.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Professional interaction with clients, adjusters, and legal staff.
• Familiarity with Texas insurance laws.
• Strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of the pre-litigation process.
• Leadership capabilities within the firm.
• Willingness to work over 40 hours per week.
• Insurance defense or claims experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
