Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Document Review Attorney to join their Texas Litigation team remotely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for new attorneys to gain hands-on civil litigation experience within a high-volume practice.

Duties

• Review lawsuits and legal pleadings for legal sufficiency and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Analyze supporting documentation to assess the viability of legal claims and readiness for suit or judgment.
• Send and respond to written correspondence related to case matters, including disputes and settlements.
• Collaborate with legal assistants and court teams to meet volume-based targets.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case tracking in internal systems.
• Communicate with supervising attorneys regarding case nuances or exceptions.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in civil litigation or collections is helpful but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and document review.
