Duties

• Represent clients in a broad range of civil matters including commercial litigation, probate, family law, real estate, and municipal law

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, and settlement agreements

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on various areas of law

• Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings

• Provide strategic legal advice to individual, business, and municipal clients

• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to manage active case files

• Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure timely case updates

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in civil litigation or a general law practice preferred

• Ability to handle a varied caseload independently and collaboratively

• Strong work ethic and interest in long-term growth within a regional firm

• Must be willing to work on-site part-time in Kewanee, IL

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois

• Good standing with the Illinois State Bar
