Fintech - Legal Counsel
The candidate will structure, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of complex agreements for various Open Banking customers. Negotiate vendor contracts and advise of any regulatory or legal concerns related to the applicable businesses. Provide thought leadership and strategic direction on products involving digital currency and blockchain technology legal and regulatory issues. Provide advice and guidance to the sales and products teams in addressing regulatory compliance, licensing, business, and reporting matters; as well as designing comprehensive risk assessment programs and policies. Support Evolve’s product roadmap to accelerate speed to market. Provide legal and regulatory guidance on the design, modification, and geographical expansion of products. Support the Compliance department to advise the company on all aspects of laws and regulations applicable to consumer and commercial payments. Collaborate with the line of business and Compliance on drafting and updating of the line of business policies and procedures. Draft and review forms, disclosures, and agreements for use by the applicable businesses with minimal supervision. Proactively solve processes and other problems for the business as they plan and execute an accelerated and aggressive global growth plan. Advise on the design and modification of products, and proactively identify associated risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Review product experiences to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Develop appropriate terms, conditions, and disclosures for new product offerings. Maintain and periodically update standard legal documentation for a line of business use. Otherwise perform legal work necessary to fulfill the scope of responsibility. Other special projects as assigned.
