Duties

• Provide counsel on insurance regulatory transactional matters.
• Navigate regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
• Advise on holding company matters.
• Collaborate on commercial transactions and policy development.
• Contribute to joint ventures and M&A activities.
• Handle regulatory licensing and change control.
• Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Interface with state or federal regulators as needed.
• Assist in defending regulatory enforcement actions or litigating disputes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in insurance regulatory matters.
• Experience with New York and New Jersey state regulators.
• Deep knowledge of state law relevant to insurance and healthcare.
• Exceptional creativity and reasoning abilities.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.

Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing of both the New York and New Jersey state bars.

Skills

• Ability to appraise, interpret, and apply legal principles.
• Interest in counseling insurance companies and healthcare organizations.
