Bankruptcy/Restructuring Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking a Bankruptcy/Restructuring Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in complex Chapter 11 cases. The ideal candidate will have experience representing debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases. Additional experience with handling complex workouts and restructurings in the automotive and mobility industry would be beneficial. Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Represent debtors, secured creditors, official committees, and unsecured creditors in complex bankruptcy cases
• Handle all aspects of Chapter 11 cases, including litigation, negotiations, and court appearances
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement case strategies
• Assist with complex workouts and restructurings in the automotive and mobility industry
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in complex Chapter 11 cases
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy law and procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar (Pennsylvania preferred)

Skills:

• Experience representing various parties in bankruptcy cases
• Ability to handle complex litigation and negotiations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
