A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation in Virginia. This role involves engaging in a dynamic legal environment, providing comprehensive legal services, and contributing to a collaborative team.

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of workers' compensation claims.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients at depositions and hearings regularly.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Retain and evaluate expert witnesses.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience as a practicing attorney.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Georgia; additional states are a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work in a team environment.
• Must respond promptly to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client skills and telephone manner.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in Georgia.
