Duties:

• Defend claims pending before state and federal courts related to labor and employment issues.
• Manage union-management relations and negotiations.
• Assist with reductions in force processes.
• Negotiate employment contracts.
• Develop and implement policies and employee benefits programs.
• Provide counsel to human resource managers and supervisors on employee matters and compliance issues.

Requirements:

• An active member of the California Bar.
• 3+ years of transferable experience in labor and employment law.
• Excellent working knowledge of California and federal employment statutes and regulations.
• Experience with labor and employment class actions and PAGA is a plus.
• Strong academic background with exceptional writing skills.
• Immediate transferable skills for the role.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• An active member of the California Bar.
