A law firm seeks a motivated attorney to join its expanding Employee Benefits practice group in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of expertise in ERISA, tax, and employee benefits law. Strong knowledge of ESOPs or equity compensation plans is an added advantage. This position is best suited for a self-driven professional who demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, a strong ability to manage complex matters, and a passion for employee benefits law.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive legal research and provide analysis for various litigation matters.
• Prepare precise and well-crafted legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings such as court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Oversee and manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely progression of cases.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on intricate and sophisticated legal issues.
• Build and maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning sessions and offer innovative solutions to case challenges.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in employee benefits law or related legal areas.
• Proven track record of managing legal matters independently and efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution with a history of academic excellence.

Certifications
