Trusts and Estates Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Uniondale, NY, is seeking a Trusts and Estates Attorney to work in estate and tax planning, probate, and trusts and estates. The ideal candidate should have significant work experience and be available to work at least 3 days a week, preferably 4 days onsite.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and services in estate and tax planning matters.
• Assist clients with probate proceedings and estate administration.
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Advise clients on strategies to minimize estate and gift taxes.
• Handle trust formation, administration, and modification.
• Represent clients in contested estate and trust matters, if necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Significant work experience in trusts and estates law.
• Familiarity with estate planning techniques and tax laws.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in estate planning software and legal research tools.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice.
