A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense practice in Tustin, CA. This is a great opportunity for both experienced attorneys and recent bar passers to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. The firm is looking for an individual who is motivated, eager to learn, and ready to handle a variety of workers' compensation defense cases.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense matters.
• Assist with legal research, case analysis, and the preparation of motions and pleadings.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation law and trends.
• Guide junior attorneys or support staff, as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Previous experience in workers' compensation defense or applicant law preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle a caseload effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and procedures (preferred).
