Duties

• Handle a substantial caseload.
• Travel between boroughs, mainly Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens.
• Conduct opening and closing arguments, direct and cross-examine witnesses.
• File necessary appeals and ensure application completeness.
• Communicate with the Social Security Administration on clients' behalf.
• Gather medical documents.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and assume significant responsibility.
• Understanding of legal language and principles.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Fluency in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian, or Creole is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
