AVP, Product Development Attorney
Responsibilities: Be a subject matter resource for General Liability, Automobile and Umbrella. Responsibility for the end-to-end policy form drafting, review, revision and completion of all required insurance policy forms and other supporting forms for insurance products within multiple business units and coverage lines, including standard P&C lines. Lead coverage discussions with Underwriters, Managers, Claim Attorneys, Compliance and the Legal department, as necessary, to ensure products match underwriting intent and remain competitive, but meet any Corporate guidelines. Research competitor filings and products and produce coverage comparisons and analysis. Respond to manuscript and standard endorsement requests as needed. Be a resource for the business unit on coverage issues, on identifying and prioritizing product development needs. Remain apprised of and monitor coverage issues, U.S. case law, regulations, legal trends and emerging issues affecting General Liability, Commercial Automobile and Umbrella insurance coverage. Provide training and knowledge sharing of such within the department.
