A law firm seeks a mid-level M&A/Corporate Public Company Associate to join its New York City office. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, legal expertise, and a commercial mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing complex international transactions.

Duties

• Draft M&A transaction documents for public and private clients.
• Prepare acquisition agreements and ancillary documentation.
• Interact with opposing deal teams, including sellers, buyers, and advisors.
• Handle domestic transactions on both buy and sell sides.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for transactions.
• Support planning, execution, and completion of M&A transactions.
• Assist clients with corporate establishment and governance.
• Advise on start-ups, joint ventures, and corporate restructures.
• Lead due diligence processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public M&A.
• Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Outstanding communication and drafting skills.
• Strong time management and ability to handle pressure.
• Driven by professional growth and client service focus.
• Team player with strong judgment and initiative.
• Fluency in English.
• Admitted to the bar and in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
