Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Private Labor And Employment Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of general litigation experience and/or labor and employment experience, including class action and representative actions, single plaintiff cases, and providing general employment advice and counsel. The candidate should be proficient in discovery, drafting motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, as well as evidentiary hearings, status conferences, arguing dispositive motions, and trials.

Duties:

  • Handle various aspects of labor and employment litigation cases, including class action representative actions and single plaintiff matters.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel on general employment matters to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in discovery processes, including document review and production.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, evidentiary hearings, status conferences, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case strategy and execution.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of general litigation experience and labor and employment experience.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of California.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
