A prominent law firm in New York City is seeking a litigation associate to join its expanding insurance defense practice. This full-time, permanent position supports a diverse client base, including domestic and international insurers, across a broad range of claims with a primary focus on personal injury litigation. Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and insurance defense litigation matters

• Support senior attorneys in complex cases and strategic litigation planning

• Conduct depositions and court appearances

• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and client reports

• Maintain case files and comply with client service standards and timelines

• Attend hearings and status conferences as needed

• Collaborate closely with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance

• Work within a team-oriented environment that encourages legal innovation and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York State Bar

• 2-3 years of experience in pre-litigation and litigation, ideally in insurance or personal injury matters

• Strong deposition and courtroom advocacy skills

• Ability to handle matters with minimal supervision

• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills

• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting

• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex legal issues in a commercial context

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic performance preferred

Certifications:

• New York Bar admission (required)
