Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 3 to 8 years of intellectual property litigation experience to join its New York, New York office. The candidate will engage in all aspects of IP litigation, including trademark, patent, copyright, and trade secret cases, from inception through trial and appeal.

Duties

• Engage in direct client contact and manage client relationships.
• Conduct depositions and make court appearances.
• Lead the discovery process and draft legal documents.
• Participate in proceedings before various courts and tribunals.

Requirements

• Membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of IP litigation experience.
• Ability to be present in the NYC office at least 4 days per week.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Team player with a desire to take on growing responsibilities.

Education

• Science or engineering degree preferred but not required.

Certifications

• New York State Bar membership.
