Duties:

• Practice immigration law, including conducting virtual and in-person consultations and green card interviews
• Represent clients in court, both virtually and in person
• Review and edit client applications completed by paralegals
• Collaborate with legal support staff on case preparation and strategy
• Maintain billable hours and client files

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in Illinois
• 0-5 years of legal experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Professional courtroom presence
• Ability to perform general office tasks, including occasional lifting to 40 pounds

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication
• Legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in working with legal software and case management tools
• Strong attention to detail

Bonus Experience:

• Previous experience in immigration law
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Experience in traffic or criminal law
• Federally licensed
