Professional Liability Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to join its Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. This position is perfect for an attorney with at least two years of experience in commercial and professional liability litigation, including healthcare, specialty care, senior living, and human trafficking litigation. The role offers opportunities to work on high-profile matters, including mass torts, class actions, and the defense of licensed professionals and institutions.

Duties:

• Represent clients in commercial and professional liability litigation, focusing on healthcare, ENO/DNO, specialty care, senior living, and more.
• Handle complex litigation cases involving human trafficking, sexual abuse, mass torts, and class actions.
• Defend licensed professionals and institutions such as nursing homes, drug and mental health treatment centers, and other specialty care facilities.
• Represent insurance agents, brokers, lawyers, architects, engineers, and other professionals in legal matters.
• Defend clients in the hospitality industry, including hotels and motels.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients in various industries, addressing their legal challenges.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials, while managing key aspects of each case.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys on case strategy and legal research.
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to their professional development.
• Uphold a client-focused approach, ensuring high-quality, efficient service in every matter.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and professional liability litigation.
• Familiarity with the defense of healthcare facilities, ENO/DNO, senior living, and specialty care litigation.
• Experience handling cases involving mass torts, class actions, human trafficking, and sexual abuse litigation is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft legal documents and present arguments effectively.
• Solid research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and in good standing.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar.

Skills:

• Expertise in professional liability and general commercial litigation.
• Strong legal writing skills and ability to draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Solid understanding of the legal issues surrounding healthcare, senior living, and other specialized care facilities.
• Proficient in managing complex litigation, including class actions and mass torts.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
