A reputable law firm in San Diego, CA is seeking a Family Law Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience handling a wide range of family law matters. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and skilled in client communication, legal drafting, and courtroom advocacy. This full-time role is suited for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing cases from intake through resolution, including appearances throughout the Bay Area.

Location:

• San Diego, CA

Duties:

• Manage client matters from start to finish, including litigation and negotiation

• Draft settlement proposals, pleadings, discovery requests, requests for orders, and trial briefs

• Provide high-quality legal counsel and maintain consistent communication with clients

• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences

• Meet and maintain required billable hours

• Collaborate with legal team members to ensure comprehensive case management

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law

• Experience managing a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision

• Proven ability to handle sensitive family law issues, including custody and support disputes

• Comfortable with courtroom appearances across multiple counties

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active member of the California State Bar

• In good standing with all relevant legal bodies

Skills:

• Proficient in California Family Code, California Rules of Court, and local rules

• Strong legal writing and research abilities

• Client management skills from intake to case resolution

• Familiarity with tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, Dissomaster, Xspouse, Essential Forms, and law firm CRM systems (preferred)

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

• Strong interpersonal communication and a proactive, self-motivated attitude
