Human Resources Business Manager
The candidate will assist local office leadership with coaching employees, conflict resolution, team development, and addressing initial performance concerns. Conduct exit interviews, assess outcomes and work with firm and office leadership to address concerns. Serve as a “point person” for employee concerns. Provide HR policy/employment law guidance and interpretation. Actively support the recruiting team to identify, interview and onboard strong professional staff and attorney talent. Partner with the Marketing department to improve online presence. Guide office leadership on appropriate new hire onboarding. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Assist with ongoing initiatives for continued regional training of leadership. Assist with regional DEI efforts. Travel to local offices to build and maintain relationships with regional leadership. Additional responsibilities based on department and firm needs. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Should have 5+ years of HR Business Partner or Generalist work experience with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, management, and retention. Previous experience recruiting high quality professional staff and attorney talent is required. In-depth knowledge of various HR policies and procedures including federal, state, and local employment law is required. SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
