Law Student and Certified Limited Practice Student, Spring

The program provides a realistic view of what it is like to practice law in the County Attorney's Office. Will be placed in the Appeals and Research Bureau and get an overview of the types of work performed by attorneys in appellate practice. Receive experience in legal research and writing. Research and draft responses to legal research requests from attorneys throughout the office. Research and update Office's standardized argument bank. Summarize police involved shooting investigation reports and prepare those cases for the shooting review board. Provide students with the opportunity to further develop their research and writing skills. Should have completed either 1L or 2L year.
