Job Overview

A law firm seeks a business transactions associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Cleveland, OH office. The candidate will work with regional, national, and multinational clients primarily as a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice team, handling a variety of corporate transactions in private markets.

Duties

• Manage buy- and sell-side acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations.
• Engage in partnerships, joint ventures, and capital raising activities.
• Collaborate with a team to provide comprehensive client service.
• Maintain significant client contact and lead transactions.

Requirements

• Significant experience in M&A transactions and related law.
• Experience in corporate governance, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
• Understanding of corporate and LLC law for drafting and due diligence.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and multiple projects.
• Private equity experience preferred.
• Effective communication and writing skills.
• Admission to practice law in Ohio.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
