A prestigious law firm is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Trial Attorney to join its team in El Paso, Texas. Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases from intake to verdict
  • Draft and respond to motions with expertise in legal principles and procedures
  • Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service throughout the legal process
  • Develop strategic legal arguments using in-depth knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and Rules of Evidence
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to deliver top-tier results
  • Prepare for and conduct jury trials, depositions, and other litigation activities
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff
  • Participate in business development efforts and contribute to firm growth

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience
  • At least 1 year of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff or defense) preferred
  • Proven jury trial experience
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico State Bar
  • Strong experience in drafting motions and legal documents
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • Proficiency in TRCP and Rules of Evidence
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with team members
  • Experience with depositions and trial preparation
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Education:

  • JD from a fully accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license in good standing with the Texas, Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills, including trial preparation and courtroom presence
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding caseload
  • Collaborative and open to feedback
  • Strong work ethic with a passion for justice
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish) is a plus
