A law firm is seeking a Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution Associate Attorney for their Houston location.

Job Overview:

• Work on complex disputes across various industries.
• Assume significant responsibility to work directly with corporate clients.
• Manage complex cases, take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, handle mediations, and other related work typically handled by associates.

Duties:

• Collaborate with legal team on complex litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with case management, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
• 2-4 years of experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
