Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney located in the Greater Houston area. This role involves managing various aspects of litigation cases, including legal research, drafting motions, preparing for and attending court proceedings, handling trials, and conducting depositions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining case files, coordinating with clients and witnesses, and performing other tasks as assigned.

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases, including conducting legal research and preparing legal documents

• Draft and file motions and other legal documents

• Represent clients in court proceedings and trials

• Take and defend depositions

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files

• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing parties

• Handle other duties as assigned by senior attorneys

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of law and legal research

• Proficiency in drafting and filing motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

• Experience with court procedures and trial handling

• Skilled in taking and defending depositions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Licensed to practice law in Texas

• Previous experience in litigation is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

• Strong legal research abilities

• Drafting and legal document filing

• Courtroom experience

• Deposition skills

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Independent and collaborative work style
