Commercial Paralegal
The candidate will be assisting the General Counsel with coordination of Legal Team, developing, designing improvements for, and maintaining legal departmental systems and infrastructure, being a point of contact and coordinator for office activities, generating reports, work-flow procedures, and templates. Will be drafting legal documents such as LOIs, MOUs and Heads of Terms with supervision from the Legal Team’s attorneys, and have primary responsibility for MTAs, and NDAs again with suitable oversight. Assisting the Legal Team’s attorneys with all aspects of commercial and corporate legal work as generated by a fast-growing technology company, with international customers and stakeholders, including: Assisting with preparing and proofing substantive legal documents, redrafts and correspondence; Assisting with research on a range of topics; Coordinating and conducting internal and external meetings for the Legal Team or representing the Legal Team. Supporting Firm’s attorneys with other project tasks, as required, through problem-solving and innovative thinking, and by working closely with Firm’s science and engineering teams and other subject matter experts as relevant. Assisting with preparing responses to requests from the business, customers and investors. Being point of contact for: external legal firms internationally, managing correspondence and invoices; global corporate service providers for each of the Firm’s Group’s international entities, managing the compliance calendar, correspondence and invoices. Working with internal and external resources to identify changing laws and practice relevant to the business, and new legal trends and developments, to assist the Legal Team and company stay up-to-date and compliant. Championing legal topics and best practice throughout the business, through presentation and representation at meetings.
