Job Description:
General Summary:
Assist the head athletic trainer in the prevention and treatment of sports related injuries and conditions.
Job duties include:
Maintaining medical records on athletes.
Providing treatment and rehabilitation.
Providing pre-event preparation and emergency coverage at intercollegiate and competitions.
Working with the team physician to make decisions regarding athlete's readiness for activity following injury.
Travelling with teams to provide athletic training services.
Covering summer sports camps as scheduled by Head Athletic Trainer.
National Athletic Trainer's Association Certification
Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, or equivalent.
Previous collegiate athletic tranining expereince, a plus.
Additional Information:
Position will remain open until filled.
This is an hourly, 11 month position, with July off.
Hourly rate: $23.08 - $25.70 per hour
This is a full time position with excellent benefits. SPU pays the employee premium for medical, dental, and vision insurance. SPU makes contributions to an employee HSA account and to a retirement account after one year of eligibility in the plan. Tuition discount program available for the employee and qualified immediate family members.
