A law firm seeks a motivated Bankruptcy Attorney to join its national practice in Columbia, SC. The successful candidate will manage a substantial caseload and guide support staff, contributing to a reputable firm known for its comprehensive creditor's rights services.

Duties

• Draft motions for relief from the automatic stay.
• Prepare and defend secured creditor proofs of claims.
• Defend motions to value and draft pleadings to protect creditor interests.
• Ensure timely and accurate updates to the firm's systems of record.
• Collaborate with attorneys, support staff, and other firm members.

Requirements

• Bar License in the state of SC (required); multiple licenses a plus.
• More than eight years of experience in civil litigation, real estate, or equivalent fields preferred.
• Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately, detail-oriented, and productively.
• Proactive relationship development within the industry.
• Working knowledge of TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar License in the state of SC (required).
