Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm located in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team. The firm handles a wide range of criminal defense cases, including both misdemeanors and felonies, from traffic violations to complex criminal matters. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the courtroom, interact directly with clients, and contribute to the firm’s success.

Duties:

• Represent clients in district, circuit, and federal courts across Arkansas
• Handle bench trials, jury trials, and hearings
• Negotiate plea deals on behalf of clients
• Consult with and advise clients regarding their cases
• Conduct client visits in jail and prison facilities
• Lead consultations with prospective clients to assess their cases
• Perform legal research to resolve case-specific issues
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management

Requirements:

• Active Arkansas Attorney’s License
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong legal research and communication skills
• Experience in criminal defense is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Arkansas Attorney’s License

Skills:

• Excellent courtroom presence and trial experience
• Strong negotiation and client management skills
• Ability to conduct detailed legal research
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Highly organized with attention to detail
