A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate attorney to join their Global Franchise and Distribution practice in San Francisco, CA. This role involves handling all aspects of franchising and distribution, including disputes, transactions, and regulatory compliance.

Duties

• Assist with franchise and distribution disputes, mediation, litigation, and arbitration.
• Develop and structure franchise and distributor programs.
• Assess and counsel on franchise contract and relationship issues.
• Draft franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements.
• Litigate and negotiate supply contracts and other transactions.
• Perform state registrations and manage international development and cross-border transactions.

Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in franchise and distribution law.
• Experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in international licensing or franchising is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
