Principal Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist

The candidate is responsible for subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration and closeout phases. Assesses supplier performance and regularly communicates feedback to Supplier Leadership. Manages supplier performance throughout the subcontracting lifecycle. Ensures compliance with all FAR, DFARS and public law requirements, as well as company policies and procedures. Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations. Cultivates and maintains strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Contributes to Program Risk and Opportunity management. Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement. S Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 6+ years of experience or a Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with 10+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, supplier management, and/or related professional experience. An advanced degree in a relevant field (JD, MBA, finance, etc.) is required. Should be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, SAP, and Sharepoint. Must have proficiency and experience supporting sole source and competitive acquisitions. Previous experience with FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations are needed. Must have the ability to understand and analyze complex proposal data. Must have the ability to communicate strategically across associated subject areas and cross-functional teams. A certificate in Contracts Management and/or NCMA certification is needed. Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices is essential. Strong negotiation experience in an Aerospace environment is needed. Should have the ability to effectively present to all levels of leadership.
