Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree or two years of college and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Position Description:

This position provides technology and educates and facilitates its use for Students, Faculty, and Staff of the College of Education and Human Development and attendant departments. This includes acquisitions, preparation, installation, instruction, technical support, repair, and inventory tracking of technology assets as well as maintenance of common-use and classroom technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Front Counter, phone, classroom, and virtual tech support including networking, office applications, audio/video assistance, and distance communication assistance.
  • Manage the College of Education and Human Development website, as well as the design
  • and/or creation of new websites while observing University branding guidelines.
  • Coordinate with University IT to ensure compliance with future web platforms
  • Administer, maintain, and develop utilizing HTML, XHTML and XML, as well as development tools such as PLONE.
  • Develop database driven web pages using programming languages such as PHP, JAVA and SQL with database backend such as MYSQL and Microsoft Server software.
  • Serve as SME for large web projects - responsible for planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment and post deployment maintenance.
  • Responsible for working with departments to gather new faculty and staff information and building/maintaining faculty/staff profile web pages.
  • Manages daily website request such as content updates, photo changes and contact information.
  • Create graphics and edit photos utilizing tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Manage the College of Education and Human Development Google Analytics account.
  • Assist with production of training videos utilizing tools such as Adobe Premiere.
  • Responsible for orienting and training users of the PLONE Content Management System.
  • Manage and administer Xibo digital signage software.
  • Update and maintain Android touch screen digital signage software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-4 years project management experience.
  • Must be able to communicate and excel in a collaborative team environment.
  • 2-4 years of front-development experience.
  • Experience with responsive web design using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of usability principles for web and mobile applications.
  • Experience in marketing, design and communication.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
