A law firm seeks a labor and employment attorney to join its team in Richmond, VA. This position is non-partnership track and benefits-eligible, with an expected billable hour goal of 1400-1800 hours. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of employment litigation and counseling experience.

Duties

• Manage and run cases independently.
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Argue motions in court effectively.
• Advise clients directly on legal matters.
• Manage deadlines and case dockets efficiently.

Requirements

• Extensive litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Experience with traditional labor and labor management relations is a plus.
• Licensure in the jurisdiction of the home office is required.
• Virginia bar membership preferred, required within one year of employment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active bar membership in good standing.
