Job Overview

A long-standing law firm with over 90 years of service is seeking two skilled and motivated Associate Attorneys to join its Municipal Law team. This is a great opportunity for attorneys with 2–5 years of experience in municipal or related legal areas to become part of a respected and collegial legal practice. The role provides meaningful client interaction, a variety of municipal law matters, and room for professional growth.

Location

• Green Bay, Wisconsin

Duties

• Advise municipal clients on a variety of legal issues, including governance, land use, ordinances, and regulatory compliance

• Draft legal documents including resolutions, ordinances, contracts, and legal opinions

• Represent municipalities in public meetings, administrative hearings, and litigation

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Respond to public records requests and advise on open meetings law

• Collaborate with internal teams to support municipal entities effectively

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in municipal law or related practice areas

• Ability to manage and advise public sector clients with professionalism and accuracy

• Strong understanding of Wisconsin municipal law and administrative procedures

• Excellent judgment and ethical standards in advising governmental bodies

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Wisconsin State Bar

Skills

• Strong legal drafting and analytical skills

• Effective verbal and written communication

• Confidence in public speaking and representing clients in meetings and court
