Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Vendor Management Counsel in Seattle, WA. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The successful candidate will join a dynamic internal legal team, supporting various business functions and managing vendor relationships.

Duties

• Serve as primary lawyer for vendor and supplier contracts across all business functions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including technology and AI-related contracts.
• Coordinate with attorneys specializing in privacy, data security, and technology transactions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify legal risks and align contract terms with internal policies.
• Support and maintain standard contract templates and clause guidance.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on implications for contracts and vendor relationships.
• Work closely with contract administrator to manage the firm's contract portfolio.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including technology agreements.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and business-partnering skills.
• Familiarity with generative AI contracting concepts and data privacy frameworks.
• Ability to manage a high volume of matters with competing deadlines.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

• Familiarity with AI governance considerations and contract lifecycle management systems.
