Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for its Commack, NY, location. The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling files pre-suit through appeals, with the opportunity to work on transactional matters as well. Excellent research and writing skills are required for this position.

Duties:

• Handle files pre-suit through appeals.
• Work on transactional matters as needed.
• Conduct legal research and writing.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, conferences, and depositions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Manage case deadlines and priorities.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Admitted to practice law in New York.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
