Sr. Paralegal-Regulatory

The candidate will work with attorneys to perform one or more of the following functions: prepare and finalize new state applications; prepare and finalize state and federal regulatory and compliance documents; copyright and trademark filing and maintenance; corporate formation, maintenance and governance; complex business transaction support; securities law compliance; litigation management; contractual support; electronic and paper research; file organization and maintenance. Maintain and administer the department docket and other time sensitive activities in conjunction with established department guidelines and procedures. Prepare letters, memos, reports, and other documents, as directed and maintains the department calendar. Coordinate compliance related projects and activities involving internal and external parties as directed by management. Develop a positive relationship with individuals throughout the company, as well as external parties. Prepare, collate, and distribute various specialized reports as requested by management. Conducts document review and analysis and interpretation of data under the direction of management. Maintain confidence and protects operations by keeping a high degree of confidentiality on all sensitive information. Proven paralegal training obtained through the completion of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program or through paralegal certification program strongly preferred. 4+ years of proven experience in a progressively responsible capacity performing in a paralegal role in a legal, business, or education environment required. Also requires the ability to type accurately and efficiently from rough draft and machine transcription or personal dictation, involving standard legal vocabulary, using common word processing programs. Advanced knowledge of legal concepts, terminology, principles and procedures and experience in one or more specialized areas preferred. Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages to perform clerical and administrative functions.
