A law firm seeks an experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team as Special Counsel in a remote capacity, based in Northern California. This role involves managing employment matters for a dedicated PEO client, requiring regular in-person participation in court proceedings and other litigation-related events.

Duties

• Manage a high-volume docket from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and draft pleadings and motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Supervise and mentor attorneys and legal staff.
• Coordinate with partners, associates, and support teams.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients and insurance carriers.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Seven or more years of employment law and litigation experience.
• Active bar membership in good standing; California admission required.
• Experience with Professional Employer Organizations preferred.
• Experience managing high-volume matters and handling EPLI claims preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in good standing.
