A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its growing Fort Worth, TX office. This position offers the opportunity to handle a variety of defense litigation matters, focusing primarily on personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation, and be licensed to practice in Texas, with the potential for additional court admissions. Location:

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties:

  • Handle a substantial caseload involving defense litigation, including personal injury cases.

  • Draft, prepare, and manage pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda.

  • Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions.

  • Conduct legal research with competence and proficiency.

  • Prepare and take depositions of parties and witnesses.

  • Review client documents and draft case evaluations.

  • Participate in mediations and court appearances.

  • Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of personal injury litigation experience.

  • Must be licensed to practice in Texas; additional court admissions are a plus.

  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar Admission (required).

  • Additional court admissions (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

  • Ability to handle a diverse caseload effectively.

  • Proficiency in managing deadlines and case-related priorities.

  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures.

  • Strong communication skills and client interaction capabilities.
