Reinsurance Claim Analyst
The candidate appropriate and timely analysis, processing, billing and collection of ceded reinsurance on long-tail claims. Ensures related financial records are accurate and internal controls are followed. Develops, and presents to management, strategies for resolution of disputed billings through the dispute management process. Maintains a rigid diary system resulting in timely billing and continuous targeted collection efforts on aged balances. Should have a 4-year college degree and at least some experience or familiarity with long-tail claims, either direct, ceded or assumed; or a law degree; or 3-5 years of experience notifying, billing, and collecting ceded reinsurance claims. Experience interpreting and analyzing the application of reinsurance treaties and certificates. Detail-oriented and excellent at working to deadlines under pressure. Significant knowledge of Excel and data management tools. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office utilities. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
