Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm located in Dallas, TX is actively seeking a skilled Associate Intake Attorney to support its expanding immigration practice. This role is ideally suited for an experienced legal professional with a strong foundation in immigration matters and a passion for client-facing responsibilities. The position focuses on evaluating prospective client cases, advising on potential relief strategies, and guiding intake operations. Duties:

  • Review intake summaries and submitted documents from potential clients to assess case viability

  • Monitor internal case tracking systems for new inquiries and actively manage the intake pipeline

  • Identify applicable immigration relief options and recommend legal pathways

  • Offer strategic legal guidance to potential clients based on initial findings

  • Engage with current clients to identify and discuss possible expanded legal services

  • Respond to legal inquiries and provide procedural explanations to both new and returning clients

  • Maintain regular communication with the intake and sales teams to align expectations and feedback

  • Supervise intake staff including paralegals and remote assistants

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on immigration law experience

  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and advance a legal caseload

  • Familiarity with legal relief options including Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR, Detained Cases, and Citizenship filings

  • Prior involvement with client consultations and intake case review processes

  • Knowledge of legal practice software platforms for case management

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications:

  • State Bar admission in good standing (Texas preferred)

Skills:

  • Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and client engagement abilities

  • Collaborative mindset with openness to teamwork and strategic discussions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational discipline in a fast-paced setting
