Duties

  • Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, including strategy development and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings from demand through award.
  • Handle entertainment industry disputes, including breach of agreements and intellectual property claims.
  • Prosecute and defend intellectual property enforcement actions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements with precision.
  • Conduct legal research to support case development and analysis.
  • Advise on litigation risk in entertainment agreements and support deal negotiations.
  • Engage in client consultations to provide updates and explain legal options.
  • Manage legal case files and court calendars effectively.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, rules, and industry customs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated litigation experience, including drafting pleadings and managing discovery.
  • Solid command of procedural rules governing civil litigation and arbitration.
  • Strong knowledge of entertainment law and related disputes.
  • Working knowledge of intellectual property law in the litigation context.
  • Familiarity with corporate and business law for commercial contract disputes.
  • Excellent research skills and persuasive legal writing ability.
  • Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions.
  • Experience with legal case management and e-discovery software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
