Mid-Level IP Technology Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a qualified Mid-Level IP Technology Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field and demonstrate expertise in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings. Familiarity with source code is preferred. The successful candidate must possess excellent academic credentials strong references and be currently licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law.

Duties:

• Handle patent litigation matters in district court, PTAB/IPR proceedings, and/or ITC proceedings.
• Conducted legal research, analyzed complex technical issues, and provided strategic legal advice to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop effective case strategies.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and team members on case management and strategy.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Stay current on developments in patent law and technology.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.
• Familiarity with source code is preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong professional references.
• Current license to practice law or eligibility to become licensed.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Current license to practice law or eligibility to become licensed.
