A respected law firm is actively seeking a Community Association Associate Attorney to join its team in Fort Lauderdale. This position focuses on providing legal counsel and support to condominium, cooperative, and homeowners’ associations. Duties:
Provide legal guidance to community association boards and property managers
Analyze community association legal issues and draft comprehensive legal opinions
Draft and revise governing documents and amendments for associations
Prepare for and attend board meetings and membership meetings
Review, draft, and negotiate service and vendor contracts
Interpret statutes, case law, and association governing documents
Handle enforcement matters related to governing document compliance
Manage ongoing client communications and maintain strong client relationships
Conduct legal research on HOA-related laws and best practices
Requirements:
2–4 years of relevant legal experience (community association or closely related area preferred)
Experience working with or advising condominium or homeowners’ associations is a plus
Strong client service orientation with the ability to respond promptly and knowledgeably
Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
Skills:
Exceptional research and legal writing abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High level of professionalism and ethical integrity
Ability to interpret and apply statutes and legal documents
Familiarity with Florida community association law is strongly preferred
Comfortable attending public and board meetings
